As the market for streaming services develops, with a number of new entrants set to debut over the next year, we’ll likely see some interesting tactics from media owners in how they leverage these new distribution points says Edward Wale, Managing Director, SpotX. They may, for example, launch a new series on one of the SVOD incumbents in order to build an audience, before pulling later series onto their own streaming services. In this interview, Wale give his predictions for the year ahead in TV and video, and discusses the opportunities subscription fatigue will create for AVOD services.
