The Holding Companies’ Scale Proposition is Outdated says TBS’s Myers-Lamptey

Tim Cross 27 January, 2020

One of the big selling points of the ad agency holding companies’ structure is that their scale gives them greater buying power, helping them to source media for their clients at cheaper prices. And in the past, their scale has been necessary in some cases in order to be able to execute the types of campaigns brands have been after. But this proposition no longer holds up so well says Dino Myers-Lamptey, founder of full solutions agency TBS. In this interview, Myers-Lamptey explains why he believes the holding group structure isn’t well suited to working with new, fast-moving clients, and gives his thoughts on which channels he’s most excited by for 2020. Filmed at NVF Roadmap in London.
