Xandr Will Retain AppNexus’ Spirit of Independence says CMO McDonald

It was just after last year’s Cannes Lions festival that AT&T confirmed rumours that it had agreed a deal to buy AppNexus. Since then a lot has changed, with AppNexus now folded into AT&T’s advanced advertising unit Xandr, and Xandr using AppNexus’ buy-side tech as a basis for its newly launched ‘Xandr Invest’ demand-side platform. In this interview Xandr CMO Kirk McDonald details Xandr’s new offering, and also explains why he believes Xandr will retain AppNexus’ spirit of independence, despite being tied in with AT&T and its media business WarnerMedia.
