One of the more interesting sports OTT products we’ve seen emerge recently is Formula 1’s offering. F1 makes its races available on its OTT apps, but is still maintaining its ties with broadcasters and selling off broadcast rights. In this interview Frank Arthofer, global head of digital media and licensing at Formula 1, explains his company’s strategy, and discusses how they make decisions around content and monetisation for their OTT service.
