Capablue’s Tom Cape: the Worlds of Broadcast and OTT are now Converging

One of the more interesting pieces of M&A action this year was Arqiva’s acquisition of Capablue. Arqiva are a communications infrastructure and media services company who work across the broadcast, satellite and mobile communications markets, whereas Capablue help operators and broadcasters with cloud TV solutions. While it might seem like a natural extension of Arqiva’s core business – and indeed it is – the deal also indicated how OTT is no longer the preserve of tech-savvy new entrants i.e. broadcasters and operators are ready and willing to take part in the OTT world too. Here Tom Cape, Director of Capablue, explains the significance of the acquisition:
