Smartclip Now Serving Ads into IP-Delivered Linear Channels

Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (HbbTV) is now gaining traction across a various European markets, most notably in France and Germany where it is being pioneered by the likes of France Télévisions and RTL Group. With HbbTV, consumers get a blend of IP-delivered and traditional broadcast channels, which of course opens up the linear TV experience to the kind of video advertising more commonly associated with online.

Smartclip, the Adconion-owned video ad network, are now selling HbbTV inventory via their ad network, which represents yet another significant shift towards unifying TV and video advertising. Here Smartclip CEO Jean-Pierre Fumagalli explains what’s now on offer. Filmed in Cologne at Dmexco.
