Hulu To Only Charge Advertisers for Completed Views

Hulu is the latest company to only charge for ‘completed views’. Up until now, Hulu has been charging customers every time an ad starts to stream, but Hulu will now only charge for ads that have been played through until the end. “We aren’t going to charge more for this,” said Hulu senior VP-sales JP Colaco. “If you pay for a full impression, you will get an impression, full stop.”

Hulu leads the US market in terms of the number of video ads served to viewers, showing more than 1.5 billion video ads in February, compared with Google’s 1.2 billion, according to ComScore’s February rankings for US Video .
