Ad of the Week: L’Odyssée de Cartier by Marcel and Publicis 133

CartierThis week’s Ad of the Week could easily have gone to Angry Birds Space for having the audacity to even think about having an astronaut working on the International Space Station announce the game’s launch and announce it in space. While a hugely impressive feat, it wasn’t a creative match for this week’s winner, L’Odyssée de Cartier, created by Publicis Groupe agencies Marcel and Publicis 133.

The ad is essentially an exceptionally decadent short film and feels like much more than just an advert. Throughout the three minutes half minutes of stunning CGI, a panther,  Cartier’s mascot – embarks on an epic trip around an instantly recognisable fantasy world that gives you a sense of the company’s 165 year history:
