Mediacom Blinkbox

Mediacom have gained exclusive access to Blinkbox’s video on demand pre and mid-roll premium inventory.  MediaCom will start out with campaigns for ten of their clients, including Audi, EA Games and Universal Music across inventory on Blinkbox’s services on PC, PS3 and Samsung Smart TVs.  The move comes in the same week as rival Netflix’s high profile launch in the UK.

Blinkbox is partly owned by Tesco, who took an 80% stake in the firm next year.  Tesco is the UK’s second largest seller of DVDs and Tesco customers can also view digital versions of their purchases on Blinkbox.
